Hi friends! I'm Catherine!

Aka your new favorite Bay Area born and raised, extroverted introvert, fitness coach.  

Fun fact about me — I never anticipated being in the fitness industry!

I grew up playing ALL the sports, mainly competitive soccer and I thrived in any competitive, athletic, aggressive environment! Post college, I thought my talents and overly-chatty self would be better suited in the hospitality world so I traded in my cleats for a more sensible pair of *clogs* to travel all over the country as a Senior Manager for a high-end restaurant group.

I fell in love with the rush and excitement of busy nights in the restaurant world and seeing the happiness and joy people experienced. I loved the fun and intensity of the hospitality world, but at that time in my life, I felt like something was missing…

That's when I found SoulCycle and felt like I had found the missing piece. After about a year and a half of riding, I took a huge leap of faith, auditioned to become an instructor and very quickly moved to NYC for instructor training. I can truly say it was one of the best decisions I've made yet! Fast-forward 6 years and 7 studios later, I am now a Senior Instructor leading one of the highest performing regions!

Jumping back into the fitness world as a coach made me feel more true to myself than I had ever been. I felt strong, confident, brave, beyond capable and lit UP because of coaching. I started to build a community of like-minded individuals that I could connect with on so many levels. Fitness gave me the opportunity to become a much better version of myself and to inspire others to do the same!

So much of what I do, what I know and who I am is wrapped up in me being a coach, a motivator, and a teacher. ⁣I have a passion for connecting people and creating communities. Bringing people together in a motivational, inspiring and often sweaty way is life-changing. I love helping people recognize their potential, achieve their goals — fitness-related or not — and become better, more confident versions of themselves.

These online workouts were originally intended as just something to pass the time and keep my SoulCycle community connected at the start of the Covid-19 Quarantine. It has since morphed into something greater than I could have ever anticipated! We started with just a few people on instagram live, using soup cans or water bottles for weights. Now we have a virtual community of hundreds from all over the country, coming together everyday to sweat, connect and support each other through multiple types of workouts!

It is my goal that Class With Catherine will transform you — physically, mentally and emotionally. It will always be a safe space for you to be yourself and move in a way that feels good for and challenges your body. Through challenging, athletic movements, and great music, you will be sure to leave class feeling stronger, more connected, centered, empowered and inspired than when you started.
